Your
Challenge
The Data Science team at Caerus Medical applies machine learning to various problems in the field of orthopedics. As a Data Scientist within this team, you will work on the development of innovative algorithms in close collaboration with the Project Manager, Data Engineers and developers to support real problems in terms of computer aided decision.
What is
expected from you
In this context, within an interdisciplinary R&D team, your role is to develop innovative algorithms based on AI to support clinical diagnosis. You will be able to develop algorithms, see the real impact of your work on the professional life of end users and therefore on patient care. For this your missions will be:
- Design, Implement, evaluate and optimize Deep Learning algorithms and models from recent literature (CNN, RNN)), for segmentation, multiclassification tasks and other relevant tasks ;
- Contribute in the Design and implementation of proof of concept methods as well as benchmarking with state-of-the-art methods ;
- Check the correct design of algorithms in compliance with the regulatory framework imposed on medical devices ;
- Write and maintain high-quality, maintainable, and modular code with concise documentation compliant to the regulatory ;
- Share your work and progress with the rest of the team, our clinical, scientific, and regulatory collaborators ;
- Participate in the maintenance and monitoring of solutions developed within the framework of the PMS (Post Market Surveillance) ;
- Participate in the active watch on Data Science subjects specific to the health sector.
The candidate
who makes us dream
You have 0 to 5 years of experience in the field of data science. Knowledge of the Healthcare industry is a real plus. With a higher education (Bac + 5, PhD), you stand out for your curiosity, your autonomy, your thoroughness, and your responsiveness.
The following points are essential for the position:
- You have a good knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing. You are particularly proficient in convolutional and recurrent neural networks.
- You master Python (Numpy, OpenCV,…) and IA frameworks (PyTorch preferred).
- You are a “fast learner”, you are able to adapt to an interdisciplinary ecosystem in constant evolution and you learn very quickly to stay one step ahead.

- You have a team spirit, you have a real facility for working in a team and you have interpersonal skills recognized by your peers.
- You like to « roll up your sleeves » and do what is necessary in urgent situations while maintaining your sight height.
- You are passionate about data, you know how to be a force for proposal.
- You have a good level of written and oral English.
Knowledge of medical imaging is a real plus.
You show rigor and analytical skills. You have an open mind, curious and are interested in the challenge.
